Organising a special week or themed days, looking for a workshop with a difference or want to bring music into your topics or curriculum subjects, then let us help you. Get Sorted provides a range of full day and half day themed music and arts workshops. We bring all the equipment as well as providing experienced staff to make your special day run smoothly. We offer a wide range of workshops including: band development, junkyard jam, drumming, sounds in science, multicultural, dance, drama, percussion, art frenzy, musical theatre, electric guitars etc.

Whatever your event, let us help make the day fun, musical, creative and exciting.

  • Modern Music Workshops: Year 5 and Year 6 will thrive on the Modern Music workshops which include playing simple popular songs on the Electric Guitar, improving their voices and singing along to karaoke Rock and Pop tracks as well as the piano. They will soon be singing along to their favourite musicals. Children really enjoy aspiring to their favourite bands, so we have developed our own School Of Rock, where children will learn a favourite chart hit, learn the parts on electric guitar, bass and drums and practise and perform with their band. Maybe some children just want to specialise in learning to play the drum kit or electric guitar, then our 1-1 music lessons will soon get them playing and performing

  • Seasonal & Cultural Celebrations: In the Chinese New Year, primary children can learn to sing Chinese songs, by learning special New Year songs using the Chinese language, listening to Chinese music and creating their own music using a range of tuned and untuned percussion. We have a wealth of Christmas and winter musical plays which children can learn and perform in front of friends and family and can add instruments, dance or drama to make it more exciting. If you are celebrating Harvest Festival, Easter, Japanese New Year, Lohri, Mardi Gras, Eid or Diwali let us help your children celebrate by making music with them and singing the cultural songs.

  • Junk Recycling Workshops: Junkyard Jam - be inspired making and creating music using recycled objects and everyday items that would otherwise end up in the waste bin. Children and young people explore making music and rhythm with metal, plastic and wood as performing in a class band using junk. Use plant pots, large water bottles, old suitcases, brushes, wooden spoons, tins, canisters, wooden stools, kitchen utensils, tent poles, bits of wood, and old plastic lids to compose and create a junkyard jam.

  • Multicultural: Let us take your children on a journey through rainforests and tropical jungles or visit Africa, travel through Australia, the Caribbean and Europe using traditional and multicultural instruments and learning songs from different cultures in different languages. Take part in a Samba Band or make music using giant seed pods, boomerangs and other strange and unusual instruments.

  • Topic Based Activities: Music can play an important part in adding another dimension to your topics. Food, people who help us, space, toys, world war, recycling, monsters and dragons, fairy tales, recycling etc, are just a small number of topics we have covered in the primary school. We use a wide range of tuned and untuned percussion instruments as well as keyboards and rock band instruments. Whatever your topic or curriculum area, let us bring it to life using music.
