Percussion

We offer a variety of percussion ranging from drum circles, body and vical percussion, bongos and junkyard jam. Body percussion incorporates the use of hands, feet and other body parts to create imaginative rhythmic patterns. Vocal percussion involves scat vocals, percussive sounds using the voice and harmonising techniques. We offer specialised group sessions and taster sessions for all ages.

Junkyard Jam

This involves the use of household items and everyday items to create percussion music. Open to all abilities and ages from junior to adult. Junkyard Jam is Get Sorted's own adaptation of the world renowned 'Stomp' and includes stick 'fights'. bin lid 'battles', rattling pots and pans and rhythmic brush work. Great fun, energetic and exciting!

Bongo Workshop

This workshop will teach students a variety of rhythms, techniques, patterns and cross-rhythms that can be put together to create group percussion. Groups are split into abilities: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
