Our Services

The project provides a range of tuition, activities and workshops, and covers drumming, guitar, bass guitar, song writing, saxophone and other woodwind instruments, brass, singing, vocal coaching, and has a multi media department where you can make your own CD, have a go on the decks, record your playing, make a video, produce a short animated film using a range of media etc. We have a range of junior clubs, provide 1-1 tuition or why not join the adult band or enrol on one of our adult courses? We also have a learning centre (daytime only) for young people who need to learn how to learn again or need to access an alternative curriculum.

Drums

Music helps to build self-esteem and social skills. Music increases our self-awareness and our awareness of others, stimulates creativity and provides us with "peak experiences" for life. At Get Sorted we are committed to deliver an exciting range of musical experiences, which can lead to qualifications, rock school exams and grades through the Associated Board of Music. They can be pathways for progression onto another learning path or simply for pure fun and enjoyment!

Our Facilities

Get Sorted has over 20 purpose built classrooms and has a hall space which is ideal for large group work and workshops. If you prefer us to work with you in your own setting, please contact us as we have a range of activities, which we can deliver on your own premises.

Guitar

The project is open from 9am to 9pm Monday to Thursday and closes at 5pm on Friday. We are open during most school holidays and provide some exciting workshops and tasters for anyone who wants to have some fun, meet new friends or wants to find out what it is like to play a drum kit or have a go on an electric kit, play an electric guitar or have fun in a drum circle or vocal workshop etc. The workshops usually last for a day so be prepared to bring a packed lunch.

The project which opened in June 1995 has had two Royal visits from Prince Andrew, has received some prestigious awards and has an excellent reputation for working with people in the community and particularly for their work with young people.
